Series #42 is about to come to an end and look at all that our students have accomplished these last "11 weeks"

Beginners on Mondays have a better understanding of what a mouse, hardware and not to mention the 4 different types of software: operating system, application, browsers & drivers, learning to set-up a computer notebook for home; learning to customize our desktop and use screen savers, and finally learning the basics on getting online and using the internet.....

Intermediate 1 - INTERNET on Tuesdays - have been surfing the web and now know the difference between the address bar (where we type web addresses we know) and the Bing or Google Search bar, where we attempt to find web addresses; they know what a hyperlink is and are getting more comfortable every day with receiving and sending emails

Intermediate 2 - WORD on Wednesdays - have they been busy learning to set margins, change font sizes & styles, copy & paste, insert & change word art, clip art and photos, copy & paste, create return address labels in various colors; create invitations, insert dates & times, use spell check, sving word to a folder on the computer as well as using those new portable devices called flash & memory sticks, and of course how to cut, copy & paste (again)!!!

Afternoon classes - have been very busy working with Photos from their digital cameras, inserting those photos as email attachments and into word; then spending several weeks creating some incredible Power Point Slide Shows; and moving on to learn the basics of Picasa's free movie program and our newest adventure was using Windows Movie Maker to create a basic "movie" with music and finally putting it all together converting our Power Point Presentation to individual .jpg's so that we could import them all into our Windows Movie Maker and polish it up with title slides, credit slides, transitioning and of course a little music... Week 11-it all gets saved to a CD to enjoy at home...
